Aitana Bonmatí i Conca (born 18 January 1998) is a Catalan professional footballer who plays midfield for Barcelona in Liga F and for Spain’s national team. By 2023, she had collected every major club and individual honour available to a European player, and her 2022–23 campaign is the most decorated season ever by any footballer. She is widely regarded as one of the best players in women’s football and among the greatest of all time.
Bonmatí joined Barcelona’s youth system in 2012 and spent six years developing through La Masia. She moved up to the senior squad before the 2016–17 season, initially appearing as a substitute until her breakthrough in 2018–19. With Barcelona, she has won five league titles, five Copas de la Reina, three Supercopas, two Copas Catalunyas, and three UEFA Women’s Champions League titles, including a treble (2020–21) and a continental quadruple (2023–24).
